I had no idea as to what exactly I would do, but I did want to try an image transfer. So I looked through a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">magazine</span> that I swiped from my doctors office (<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">shhhhh</span> don't tell anyone) and I flipped <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">through</span> and I saw image of the trees first. So I cut it out and tried the transfer and it came out pretty good! I am not sure what my <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">fascination</span> is with trees, but I love em! Then cam the image of the beach with that big rock, then the bamboo on the side, then the house on the tome and those branches on the right. <br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitgFEn93DBM32GhCZyHZTJIILUlm7OXE5YPNIhtwEmxzs3zs7k0EypxFOhEgjM09mzUAtmZ9E0zqMDINMZCabORaE0caCRTwFWxdcy-h7rPosN5gJqLD_ZDFEVQ_uhVQUGSX9mT4vDgCM/s1600/Transfer.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 300px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5548380846277265426" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitgFEn93DBM32GhCZyHZTJIILUlm7OXE5YPNIhtwEmxzs3zs7k0EypxFOhEgjM09mzUAtmZ9E0zqMDINMZCabORaE0caCRTwFWxdcy-h7rPosN5gJqLD_ZDFEVQ_uhVQUGSX9mT4vDgCM/s400/Transfer.JPG" /></a> I had <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error">soooo</span> much fun and success in doing those, I could see me doing a whole journal in that way. I wonder what that would be like.....I just might have to try it and now I know how some people could have so many different journals going at once.<br /><div></div>Danishahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10836067082252952234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4720400675999158590.post-3639563172181618492010-11-24T16:46:00.000-08:002010-11-24T16:53:13.299-08:00Enjoying the JourneyI have been enjoying my new endeavor...Art Journaling, however I don't know if this is where I will stop for good, or if this is just a part of the journey. I have found that I enjoy working with paper, stamps, paint, ink.....so I am not sure where my area of art is going to be. I think that many artists dabble in many mediums, it keeps things interesting.<br /><br />This spread I made about some friends who have been married forever and seem to be heading down the road to divorce. Its so sad to think that even after 20 years, you can still get a divorce. I mean I would think you have made it!<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnwOBaTCGhsmgCqFoZoWmJGwUhLkam1rEJQdYiBAcSVpM1TnMevPQFm7qgiWWTGTOuoUtAcqTGkxJaJf8JyZE3HV9bD6FtZ8LPyKCRmAooNU2c4GtXXFUqLSzFM0w1J3I1llLMqLyKDH4/s1600/Heartbreak+2.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5543282511163811586" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnwOBaTCGhsmgCqFoZoWmJGwUhLkam1rEJQdYiBAcSVpM1TnMevPQFm7qgiWWTGTOuoUtAcqTGkxJaJf8JyZE3HV9bD6FtZ8LPyKCRmAooNU2c4GtXXFUqLSzFM0w1J3I1llLMqLyKDH4/s400/Heartbreak+2.JPG" /></a> I see that the date stamp on the picture says 1/15/2010.....but that is wrong. Will have to fix that! I think you will be seeing more of this and maybe a little less of card making on my blog! But that is okay, cause I am enjoying the journey!!!<br /><div></div>Danishahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10836067082252952234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4720400675999158590.post-79186904892292346092010-10-25T09:40:00.000-07:002010-10-25T09:57:02.661-07:00A new endevor<div>Life has been busy for me, with my job, the kids, the hubby, not to mention me going to school. However, all seems to be going pretty well right now. I have found that I have to allow for some creative time for myself or I start to become resentful and angry. The last couple of times that I have sat down to make a card, nothing seemed to come out the way I wanted it. </div><div></div><br /><div>So I started to look at <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">youtube</span> to see different kinds of techniques and I stumbled on Art <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Journaling</span>. Now I have seen this before and I REALLY liked the idea. I have all the Studio Paints, <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">Stickles</span>, Tim <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">Holtz</span> <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">alcohol</span> ink <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">refillers</span>, so I figured I would do something different. I had an old spiral bound scrapbook that I had gotten at <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_6" class="blsp-spelling-error">Micheals</span> or someplace like that, so I <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_7" class="blsp-spelling-error">gesso</span>-ed the page and started creating. I have to say it was a LOT of fun!!! Here's the end result.</div><div> </div><div>I have really enjoyed getting all kinds of paint and paper and using some of my old <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_8" class="blsp-spelling-error">scrapbooking</span> supplies. It was just so much fun to let my creative mind wander. What freedom it was. So I think that this is where my creative outlet will be. I have seen some beautiful Art Journal's out there. I can't draw, but it doesn't matter. All that matters is that you create and enjoy!</div><div> </div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5532027773041767218" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcs6PSbA2eKuNeWldPRj81fdmJNct7Dv2WXka-T1lGHMMaWLDVm7zkrbRfuXk71wHIRBYQMsxh_SqWEaDf7XKmkVBw4WbGGdvPdG6R-0exUlIxhO0YeGO2iVhfScYitSrs2nGEK5C9g7g/s400/Your+Love.JPG" /><br /><div></div><br /><div></div>Danishahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10836067082252952234noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4720400675999158590.post-86603115387557921202010-10-02T12:00:00.000-07:002010-10-02T12:05:47.410-07:00Thank You Keva!!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsTGIk225DKZJMNaSNJC8frriRoNzNCl7tke0h-2p7Kl227ODQ7oN3p95nQUhfuo_i9mlJYn59oLl78AdiSjUFWQhXp-ERFWBWw8CsOEfmKwz6jW8sG49ZHDxOfj1f_SgvUywXeanZq8k/s1600/IMG_0005%5B1%5D"></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpZOhVKXFsQYi3JEEq62gB-CyvmLE5yWeVNf2-7sLqS0wL_WaufPpX-zRZxvSLUM_mcWO8G-01N39pPQC6AIi7vY3jou0l16XrmF75OcsuQcZrgMHB62nxpb3j6Qg69ZIn6wVWcUsyW7w/s1600/IMG_0008%5B1%5D"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 300px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5523525949759163394" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpZOhVKXFsQYi3JEEq62gB-CyvmLE5yWeVNf2-7sLqS0wL_WaufPpX-zRZxvSLUM_mcWO8G-01N39pPQC6AIi7vY3jou0l16XrmF75OcsuQcZrgMHB62nxpb3j6Qg69ZIn6wVWcUsyW7w/s400/IMG_0008%5B1%5D" /></a><br /><br /><div>I went to the mailbox today and what a sweet surprise I received. Life has gotten busy around here. I am officially a nursing student so I have had a ton of reading to do and studying. I am taking my classes on line at the local college here, not quite sure if that is a good thing or a bad one. I guess we will see by the first test!<br /><br />I have found that I learn pretty well with flash cards. I have kept all of my flashcards from other classes. One day while I was reading my 250 pages, and taking notes, I decided to take a break and do something creative. I mean we can't be all work and no play right?! So I decided to make a cover for my flash cards and this is what I came up with.<br /><br /><br /><p><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 310px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5519698482598797298" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifxtbOVAa0dPP-nf8IgocShiIxUBa3QYZlqmachXR0Sj2Vhb5Nruqg-ynl1Snz637rNkPwVvNfaTGsuFOowhkZ7UWVtk3wrnG_c65QPKp-2iIlfChpAEuPeHcTxEgl5oG9tbOpZFIaqDo/s400/Nursing_edited.jpg" />As a side note: I realized after the first week of class when I had a stack of cards that were like two inches thick, that I wouldn't be doing flashcards for everything! But I love how this came out and will use it for those concepts or ideas that I just can't seem to get.</p><p>Ingredients:</p><p>Tim Holtz's Grungeboard & Distress Ink-Lipstick, Spellbinder's Impressabilities, PTI Card stock, Coordination Card stock, Stamper's Anonymous Stamps, Glimmer Mist, Embossing Powder, Making Memories Rub On's</p>Danishahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10836067082252952234noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4720400675999158590.post-53960980817866184602010-08-14T06:43:00.000-07:002010-08-14T06:51:02.122-07:00Happy Birthday<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjniroSwzx2QGczj7bt8AhAraX8a8KOVizbe5xSeSKHeSQfgWAgN5mzswkBK7raqJJ-9KMFyglpEgHrlGy616pNlbXotN_yiLZxvSHQQIyNtYYLwolZ5FBnRVdIL_Id9mdMoFxjn2OGidg/s1600/Happy+Birthday_edited.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 293px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjniroSwzx2QGczj7bt8AhAraX8a8KOVizbe5xSeSKHeSQfgWAgN5mzswkBK7raqJJ-9KMFyglpEgHrlGy616pNlbXotN_yiLZxvSHQQIyNtYYLwolZ5FBnRVdIL_Id9mdMoFxjn2OGidg/s320/Happy+Birthday_edited.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5505261796043837986" /></a><br /><br />I made this card a while ago. I bought a notebook at Micheals for a dollar and I wanted to alter it for myself. The last couple I made (actually the first two) I gave to my girls. You can see them <a href="http://creativelymedee.blogspot.com/2010/04/notebook.html">Here</a><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig1m2c4p9l9sLio3uIbRvhSxXA2KudbJxwGAjsTygvgs0uacNt4d57KpQhFb0fNDjz4XJwPuKJdxrvjnf1unJBsQa97PwlRiYI2uasuK-l7PJbVD7RO27lxzR2J-re1aZVGX8h9mZquDA/s1600/Notebook,+Front_edited.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 254px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig1m2c4p9l9sLio3uIbRvhSxXA2KudbJxwGAjsTygvgs0uacNt4d57KpQhFb0fNDjz4XJwPuKJdxrvjnf1unJBsQa97PwlRiYI2uasuK-l7PJbVD7RO27lxzR2J-re1aZVGX8h9mZquDA/s320/Notebook,+Front_edited.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502080349101659282" /></a><br /><br />I recently have gotten the Tattered Flowers Die, from Tim Holtz and I have had some Grungeboard sheets forever!!! I have seen some people make the flower and I wanted to give it a go. I made it and I really do like how it came out but I think it was to bulky to go on the cover of the book. So, I will put that one on another project. I already have an idea what I will use it on. I'll post a pic once I am done, in the meanitme, I went ahead and made two flowers out of paper that I stamped and embosssed.<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0Q6K52yTAVpNiMd4He7QskKGS4Vs9VqH60bfaCT_-N0Qw2EnyXqAN9lgfnqf81QCFlyWV5jKqHVXnZ7xO50plzZBM_rbbLkwErCkdcKno2JmzJ-JqcVCH7jyscqq0OJjLP5Z0dJBA26U/s1600/Notebook,+Back_edited.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 274px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0Q6K52yTAVpNiMd4He7QskKGS4Vs9VqH60bfaCT_-N0Qw2EnyXqAN9lgfnqf81QCFlyWV5jKqHVXnZ7xO50plzZBM_rbbLkwErCkdcKno2JmzJ-JqcVCH7jyscqq0OJjLP5Z0dJBA26U/s320/Notebook,+Back_edited.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5502080096836829762" /></a><br /><br />I am excited about how this came out, I sewed on this project, a firt time thing for me. I do not have a sewing machine, so every stitch is hand stitched not to mention poking all the holes! HA HA. I am gonna use this for a place to keep my ideas about being creative. Weather that means a Card sketch, an interesting color combo, a project that I want to try. Who knows when I will be able to craft as I just recieved my letter inviting me to start the nursing program in the Fall. I hope that I will continue to find time to stamp and be creative while I am learning!<br /><br /><strong>Details:</strong><br />Stamps: Papertrey Ink-BB Text Styles, Take Note, Polka Dot Basics<br />Ink: Papertrey Ink-Aqua Mist; Tim Holtz-Frayed Burlap; Brilliance-Moonlight White<br />CS: Papertrey Ink-Kraft, Spring Moss<br />Pattern Paper: K&C Company-Classic Charlotte<br />Punches: Martha Stewart<br />Spellbinder Impressabilities - Flourish<br />Ribbon: Memory MakersDanishahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10836067082252952234noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4720400675999158590.post-51822633844661360262010-07-19T17:33:00.001-07:002010-07-19T18:30:35.289-07:00PTI Posse Petite Challenge #2Well this is the second time I am writing this post, I accidentaly posted this to the actuall Posse Blog (insert red face here).<br /><br /><br />I started this card before I went on vacation and I didn't even try to find a different kind of fold type of card since I knew time would be hard for me! Getting ready for our camping trip has taken all my time. But I found this card that I hadn't posted yet, so I thought I would post it on my blog.<br /><br />I made this card for a co-worker of my hubby's. He had let us use a comp room at the Showboat for a weekend. We had a great time and I just wanted to show some appreciation.<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491860018466995986" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkkqvdxiqthm471ckI-m2hnJnybQ2uETQoku2qc3DrG7VBHTRp963U4itGRU370VuEdbyb9uBxo9Dul3_Plz6TeB4ZPxg260SFLwVeU8U2BSeQWwy_XQiyUs_i19HSt-c0kgDfD4d_Rvk/s320/Enjoy+Journey.bmp" /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZQRkCRyaEs3zfPP6wvzJBoi0NPHPQwHY4s7aWth5N14Xd06JmuRmJLn1AA5FYiRxq3sRkp3V_ejF7r9nzqPOG9PtECmhZyP4UCsjOtOL0X99miYO_8oLl6PeQo3MYvibLx71HjGWAQUg/s1600/Enjoy+Journey2.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5491860020922313730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZQRkCRyaEs3zfPP6wvzJBoi0NPHPQwHY4s7aWth5N14Xd06JmuRmJLn1AA5FYiRxq3sRkp3V_ejF7r9nzqPOG9PtECmhZyP4UCsjOtOL0X99miYO_8oLl6PeQo3MYvibLx71HjGWAQUg/s320/Enjoy+Journey2.jpg" /></a><br /><div><br /><br /> </div><div></div>Danishahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10836067082252952234noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4720400675999158590.post-32504818330862050062010-06-28T06:27:00.000-07:002010-06-28T08:13:04.317-07:00Sympathy CardsWell for whatever reason, these uploaded in the opposite sequence I wanted them too, but I am having difficulty with Blogger so we are going to go with this! I was thinking the other day that I needed to make some, because let's face it, I am getting older and so are the people around me and in the last few years I have many around me die. You know friends, fathers, grandmothers, just the other day a co-worker of my husbands, died of a heart attack at 42!!!! Crazy right?! Anyway on to lovelier thoughts.<br /><br />This is the first card I made, I like how the second one came out better, but I do like the tone on tone stamped over the sentiment on the inside of the first one.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2yb_bBEa4j8kkoy6p9Mzo-XvyMgiPbYVi1q-i-jgYTmEK3XbBsNUYq5Ix_88RdnxAcKwNC9I1kSq4JwfxkCsoDka6M91eUbl4bJWlc15b2CfxmIZOSG4NVyJKSJrgYZWW8EORSiTRstU/s1600/Sympathy2.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487840244104510530" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2yb_bBEa4j8kkoy6p9Mzo-XvyMgiPbYVi1q-i-jgYTmEK3XbBsNUYq5Ix_88RdnxAcKwNC9I1kSq4JwfxkCsoDka6M91eUbl4bJWlc15b2CfxmIZOSG4NVyJKSJrgYZWW8EORSiTRstU/s320/Sympathy2.jpg" /></a> This next one is the inside of the second card.<br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwhwJEVviBcQRtqIUh_GxMoNifIIMbSqnmpEt7HoPm-LSKSHR-bCBgtIVI5PHXnBGuRh4excUHCW2nPx99XHdNDp2y5L6Xgk360CDDI1V66BRK9xi4UpSOMqSvilMcGhoLbUgYuQKg10k/s1600/Sympathy1inside.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5487840241579061538" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwhwJEVviBcQRtqIUh_GxMoNifIIMbSqnmpEt7HoPm-LSKSHR-bCBgtIVI5PHXnBGuRh4excUHCW2nPx99XHdNDp2y5L6Xgk360CDDI1V66BRK9xi4UpSOMqSvilMcGhoLbUgYuQKg10k/s320/Sympathy1inside.jpg" /></a> I never can seem to make the same card twice, there's just something inside me that refuses! The doctor that I worked for has just had their first grandchild and I did want to make a card for him and his wife. I am sure I am not the only one that has done this, so I have had to find another way to upload my photo's. So what I have done is uploaded them to <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Facebook</span> then have saved the pictures and I am trying to upload them to my blog.<br /><br /><br /><br />Here's hoping it works! I visit several blogs and on one I noticed that she often altered notebooks and I thought I would give it a try. So I did 2 of them. One I put the cover on wrong, but by then it's to late, so the second one was the way it was supposed to be! Live and learn. I really liked how they came out and gave each of the girls one. This card uses the stamp set from <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Papertray</span> Ink, Life. Our church has a bread ministry that the Winter's are a part of. On Sunday evenings they go to <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Panera</span> bread and get whatever leftover bread there is, they <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">separate</span> it into various bags and a then <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">some other</span> people from our church come over pick up the bread and deliver it to various ministries through out the county. This thing has grown like you wouldn't believe. It does sadden me that there is such a need for it, but makes my heart glad that there are people who will take time out to help to <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">distribute</span> this bread which would otherwise be thrown out. Here is Angela, Steve, Mary and Amy's friend Louis helping to bag it up and <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">separate</span> it out. I feel very fortunate to have friends like this!</div></div></div>Danishahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10836067082252952234noreply@blogger.com0
